PRICING Individual LEGO WeDo 2.0 kits are $159.95 and include the core set of building materials and curriculum software. WeDo 2.0 will be compatible with Scratch in spring 2016 for Mac users and summer 2016 for PC users. Each of the guided projects provides multiple avenues for exploring different solutions with Max and Mia and also documents work to enable sharing. Or students may attempt a floodgate to examine how to prevent flooding. For example, users might build a pull-robot to explore friction and movement of objects. Students are then prompted to explore a set of open-ended questions through the creation of a device. Short videos feature LEGO characters Max and Mia investigating a problem. Guided projects provide step-by-step instructions for assembling each device, while the open projects start with images of the devices, but leave the construction to the creativity of the student. The Full app adds eight guided projects and eight open projects. The Start app provides access to four beginner projects-Milo the Science Rover, Milo’s Tilt Sensor, Milo’s Distance, and Collaborations. Two apps are available for use with the kit: LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 Start or Full (free, iOS and Android).
